Signs Your Clopay Weather Seal Replacement Is Failing

• Visible daylight under the closed door. The seal should compress fully against the floor. When the rubber or vinyl hardens and loses memory, it no longer fills minor irregularities in the concrete. What goes wrong in DIY: buying the wrong profile, stretching the seal during installation so it retracts and gaps in the center, or failing to seal the ends where wind gets underneath and works the seal loose. The channel is sharp aluminum. Gloves help, but patience helps more.
